Last Saturday afternoon we had Peter Plowman talking about the Migrant Ships and all you people that had booked to be part of it and did not turn up have done yourself a dis-service. Three-quarter of the persons that had booked did not turn up. But that did not stop Peter to give us one of his best performances ever.
I find it one of the most informative sessions that we have had so far but it could have been so much better with a bigger audience it would have been so much more interesting for Peter and the persons that were attending.
So, please next time you book for an event, give us the courtesy to attend, after all it is for all you members, that we organize all these events, not just for our self.
I also would like to know if there is anyone out there that would be interested in volunteering to keep our garden clean. We have got a sit-on mower and all other equipment needed, but the persons that have been looking after it for the last year are not available anymore. They have done a great job and the place looks better for it and we would like to keep it that way.
Time wise it would take approximately 1 day every forth night in spring and summer and 1 day every month in winter.
So if you would like to join our happy group of volunteers, please let me know. It can be fun and the coffee is free.
