Pam Tuckwell from the Central Coast came first. Liz Jackman was second and our Frances came third. Frances also celebrated her birthday on the day. Our new player Patricia was awarded with the" Mick Delange Encouragement Award" Arie went to Wagga-Wagga for the annual border challenge and done well with 5 wins out of 10 games and gained 44 points Regards from Annie & Arie Thanks to the hard work and great organization skills of Frances de Lange, and the team of stalwart helpers, we had a very successful scrabble tournament on the 1st of May. We had 61 contestants all eager to test their skills [and luck] with the fickle letters that emerge from the bag. With four grades [A B C D] we were all comfortable with whatever partner were up against. All the players from our club are in the D group and we managed to score three of the five awards in our group, so we are well pleased with ourselves. We thank Mia and her wonderful helpers for a great lunch, served quickly and on time, much appreciated was the coffee and tea ready at 8am. Often at tournaments the tea and coffee is not available until 9 or 930am not good for those folk who have travelled a fair way. Our membership is growing slowly and we welcome you to come and "give us a try" Jacqui Windle
