Our ‘Rembrandt Birthday Celebration Weekend’ was a great success.
It started on the Saturday with a brilliant concert before a sell-out crowd. And then the highlight of unveiling the Rembrandt wall with 16 Rembrandt paintings and the unveiling of the ‘Dirk van de Lindt remembrance wall’.
All this was decorated throughout the club with a variety of paintings from the Lindt Art School students, Dirks’ paintings and some special paintings from Joop Mulholland.
All in all a very interesting weekend. Worthwhile repeating. 
It shows again that with the proper planning and organising everything is possible.
To give you an idea of the time involved; it has taken 11 months to get to the final result, but it was worth every bit of it.
After that weekend we needed a break and in the meantime we have had 10 days up north to relax. A shame that it had to rain so much.
Now we can get back to normal again. Private functions, senior holiday etc. It’s all a lot of fun.
We could do with a few new committee members. Very shortly we need nominations again and some new ideas would be very welcome.
